It's been too long since I last let you know what's going on here at Old Nibley.  Well, I'm still around thanks to a cocktail of tablets... 4 a day including heart, blood pressure and over active thyroid.  But hey, they're working well and I'm getting on to being 18 years of age (equating to the mid 80s in hooman years!!)

Albert's getting bigger - I swear he grows at a rate of a milimeter a day but he does eat a  lot and the hoomans say he's heavy even minus a leg!!

Now for Charlee - she's jealous of me cos I get a  lot of attention due to my ailments and old age thing.  One day she'll understand.

This morning was a shock in the garden!!  Sheep, 4 of them.  Big 'orrible sheep.  The hooman had to go and chase them back into the fields; he wasn't happy cos it was raining and the ground was so squelchy.

Right, time to get back to my mid morning sleeps zzzzzzzz

I've been a bit lax in posting - April, was that really the last time I spoke to all of you?  Wow... anyway sorry about the large gap but I haven't been too well.  Now on 2 tablets a day for the rest of my life due to high blood pressure and hyperactive thyroid; old age... it gets you in the end!  Even had to change my food from biscuits to Whiskas pouches - easier to digest at my age.  Still, at least I can still run about and sleep when and where I want.

Can't say I've been out that much, ground too squelchy, not a joy to run around in, and the grass keeps growing!  Mistress is not happy that her flowers are not blooming and bursting into bright colours.  But she still has me to cuddle, really what more does she want!

One pays for ones food OC behaviour!!!

They're making crisp packets smaller these days.  Stuck my head in the end and I couldn't get it off so reversed ... right off the end of the table into the laundry basket which toppled over and the wretched crisp packet was STILL on my head!  Feeling stunned, shook head, packet off.  Not the best tactic but could've been worse - at least the other two weren't around to see me embarrass myself!!!

After all that energetic behaviour a long rest is required,

The sun has got his hat on ....

At last, some warm weather and I can go explore the garden and back fields.  Nothing much to report except there's a rather unappealing smell of citrus fruits in the kitchen - makes my whiskers twitch that does!  I much prefer it when it's bacon being cooked ... mmmm!!

Virtual Cats ... Why!!!?

The master only went and found the Nintendo chip we cunningly hid 3 years ago - it's supposedly caring for cats ... 2 dimensional ones at that!  So, now our female provider has started playing the game again and forsaken us!  No soft fur to stroke, no dribble to wipe away, which is probably why she likes playing it.
We need to get together and find away of hiding not only the chip but the silly red box too!

Sleepy Head

I need my rest because I need all my energy to sit and watch for prey - mice, squirrels, voles ... all good for hunting and a good chase!  Jasper on the other hand has the cheek to call me plump when his contribution is pinching my caught prey.  I suppose it's par for the course really, the female does the hunting whilst the male sits and waits to be served!

the week so far ...

Not that busy, not that much going on.  The weather's a bit warmer but still not good enough to spend that much time prowling and exploring; and anyway I don't need the exercise, not like Charlee she really needs to do something about her bountiful backside!  Purrlates would help her - I only need to continue with the feline version of Tai Chi ... gently flexing the paws & claws whilst sprawled out on the living floor!!
